The unabomber is giving me a headache.

I once had a roommate who chose the unabomber as his write-in vote for a presidential election. I think he thought that doing so made him cool. It did not.

He liked flirtation with leftist concepts. He once decided to fast after reading a Details article. He was a card carrying socialist. He forced vows of silence on himself occasionally, and wasn't really able to explain why.

It all became pretty annoying after a while.

It's hard to respect unjustified beliefs.
